 Sometimes, a book can change everything.
Your perception, how you look at life. You put down the book, stunned. You try to grasp the immensity of what has happened: an epiphany. Things will never be the same.
Sometimes, a book can be that catalyst, but the perfect story needs to be read at the perfect time, and if the irresistable force of the words meets the mind that can be moved, enlightenment is possible. I remember such stories from my childhood, Science Fiction all, E.F. Russell's And then there were none or David Gerrold's When H.A.R.L.I.E. was One (v2.0) — you know the guy, he gave you Trouble with Tribbles .
Reading When it changed by J. Russ was another transformative experience, and I owe the author a debt of gratitude — a debt I intend to start repaying, even if it's just a gesture. And once more, I expect nothing short of an epiphany …
